European Week of Regions and Cities brings thousands of people from different corners of Europe to Brussels to discuss regional development in the beginning of October. Hundreds of sessions will be organised in the course of four days, when the focus of the European Capital is firmly on cities and regions. One of these events is Interreg Project Slam, which is a competition for Interreg funded projects. Various Interreg programmes submitted about 40 entries to this competition, where the goal is to find out those projects, which are the best at mastering dissemination. APP4SEA is among the eight projects, which made it through to the finals.
The selection of the finalists was mainly done based on a three minute long video, which the applicants had put together. The organisers were looking for innovative and engaging ways of presenting project goals and outputs and how the the benefits of the Interreg funding could be disseminated to wider audiences. APP4SEA succeeded in this and joins seven other projects in the final, which will be held in Brussels on 8th of October. The projects will give there either a three minute long Ted talk presentation or a five minute long play and the participants of the session will vote for the best three presentations, which will be awarded. A people's choice award will be awarded as well and voting for this will commence already in August. The videos of the eight finalists will be published on Interact's Facebook site and anyone can have a say, which project is the best one in delivering its message. Stay tuned, we will let you once the voting for people's choice award starts. If you are heading to the Brussels for the week, register to the session and see us on live!
